The Word   Our
Treasure Box

2 Tim 3:16 &17
 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

A Treasure Box of the richest kind has already been given to us by God.  Greater than anything we can imagine is the Treasure Box created exclusively for each of us.    The Word of God is one of our Greatest Treasures.  Exquisite Words put into One Book is given to us by inspiration of God. He gives the gift of the Treasure Box but we must be willing to open the Box and investigate.  The longer we linger and intentionally search each amazing jewel He begins to reveal Himself intimately to each of us.

Each Word is a precious jewel that waits to be taken out and examined.  Like a Treasure Box the Word of God must be opened with a Key.  This Key can only be given by the owner Himself.  The Holy Spirit is the Key to unlocking the Box.
 
When we stand back and simply look at the Box fully opened all the jewels are exposed revealing His Light.  Looking closer we notice some jewels seem to be illuminate more than others.   Calling out to us to pick one up and examine it closely by taking the time to fully explore its depth and completeness.  Deciding to deeply explore the depth of His Word we discover the intimate beauty He reveals and the true knowledge of His Love for us.  It in through this process we continue to discover His TRUE PEACE.  The relationship we have with Him grows stronger.  We grow in believing He is completely who He says He is.  We are able to enter into “His Rest” through Truth and Grace.   

 The Light that each jewel holds reflects the Truth that sets us free.  The cut and angle that shines forth brings light into our darkness and we begin to see God’s plan and order.  His abundant light, color and detail explode in our eye gate and there His beauty is displayed.  The reflection of His Light shines forth Truth into the situations of our lives.  There is Great Joy in understanding that God is speaking directly to us, and giving us the Way to go.  He has not left us alone instead He sent His Holy Spirit who remains within us and leads us intimately daily if we take the time to commune with Him.   He illuminate new jewels to investigate as well as the ones that are familiar we already trust and believe.  Interestingly each time we take one out that we have already studied we find new facets we had not “seen” before.  

In order to get to know someone we must have a way to communicate, God has provided the perfect way to have relationship with us, through His Word and Spirit.  God’s desire for relationship was so great that He sent His only begotten Son as a perfect sacrifice.  Jesus taking on the sin of the world made the Way for us to have intimacy with Our Father.  In order to grow in relationship we must stay in intimate contact, obeying His commandants, and abiding in His Word.  He has provided everything we need for our relationship to grow in love.  

Each day as we come to ask for the Key to open The Treasure Box we have been given a Treasure beyond measure.  This priceless gift has been given at such a great cost and in perfect love.  It is a choice to open the Box and take out the special jewels given for each day.  Every jewel is a nugget of Truth that is more profound that man’s words can express because these jewels are given by the Spirit into our spirit.  They live eternally and internally in our hearts and minds.

Until we know the true value of the Word and allow it to circumcise our hearts we have yet to understand the Power of God’s Word.   He has given to us the ability to understand and believe His Word.  This allows us to stand upright in persecution, trials and temptations.  We learn there is no need to fret because God never changes, but He is in the business of changing us into His image.   Understanding comes and so does change.  Truth enters and we become reflections of God’s Truth when we accept and believe.  This is an action step that is empowered by God’s Grace.  Before the belief and understanding was our flesh just trying and failing to be good.  Now with God’s empowerment comes the true transformation into being made into the image of Christ.

Thank You God for Your Treasure Box and the Key.

The Word of God is always amazing and so incredible.  The scripture that began this journey seems so profound to me right now because it is a full circle.

Ex. 19

1. 'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice

and keep My covenant, then you shall be a
 special treasure
 to Me
 above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
6  'And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
7  So Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which the LORD commanded him.
8  Then all the people answered together and said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do." So Moses brought back the words of the people to the LORD.
9  And the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever." So Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.

Just as we began this paper with the writing about the Treasure Box God has given us.
  We discover that we are His Treasure of Jewels.
